Mr. Azmat Ali is one of the visionary behind Alif Foundation, founded with a group of dedicated workers committed to bringing literacy and health to the neglected Federally Administrated Tribal Area (FATA) while working at the grassroots level.
Currently, he is serving as the advisor to the Pakistan Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Inter-faith Harmony Mr. Noor-ul-Haq Qadari. Moreover, he is also the cheif press secretory of Pakistan Tehrek Insaf (PTI) youth wing.
Sundus S. K
Mrs. Sundus is the founding member of Alif foundation. She is a social activist, had a degree in BSc Social Sciences, and is the official ambassador of Lakhmi Mittal South Asia Institute, Harvard University.
Also, she was the part of International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP), 2019. At Alif Foundation, she is serving as the managing director.
Adnan Khan Shinwari
Mr. Adnan is currently the Additional General Secretary PTI Peshawar Region and special advisor to Senate Standing Committee on State and Frontier Regions (Safron), Pakistan. Moreover, he also served as the chairman of FATA Youth Jarga.
He realized that citizens residing in the remote and backward areas of Pakistan needed to be made aware of Human Rights, so that they are better able to protect themselves and their families. He comes with his immense experience in the field of Human Right & Women Empowerment.
Since the inception of Alif Foundation, Adnan has remained President and active member providing leadership and advisory as board member.
General Managing Director
Babar Nawaz belongs to Landikotal, Khyber Agency, Pakistan. Mr. Babar is self-motivated and a patriotic person with a clear vision of life and live with spirit of serving humanity. He is an inspiring Human Rights, Peace and Youth Activist and working with many organization on National as well as International level.
With Alif Foundation, Mr. Babar is responsible to Monitoring projects, Community outreach; Strengthen health and education at the community level. Fund Rising and meeting with potential Stake holders. Promote inclusive economic growth – women and youth entrepreneurship.
Human Rights Coordinator
Akhtar Gul is a young political leader, social worker, entrepreneur, peace and education activist. He is determined for change. Currently, he is serving the president of Insaf Students Federation FATA. Moreover, he is also part of FATA Youth Jirga – a group of youth struggle to merge FATA with KP province.
He started his career in development sector with aim of helping the poor and needy people of FATA. He envisioned opportunities in training and capacity building for the poor and remained active in different initiatives. Akhtar felt that organizing women in low-income communities and linking them with the mainstream market required an entity dedicated to that task alone.
HR and Training Manager
Laila Shahnawaz is a Clinical Psychologist by profession. Previously Laila has served national and international organizations and contributed a lot in the project management and program development in areas including mobilization, organization, assessments, capacity building, case management of gender based violence, shelter protection, advocacy on women’s issues, prevention of GBV at grassroots, psychosocial support, informal education, social reintegration, reporting, linkages building and networking.
Amir Khan is a highly motivated, committed and hard-working person. His academic qualification is bachelors. In Alif foundation, he is assigned to aware the FATA women regarding the health issue such as breast cancer and more.
Administration Department Manager
Adnan is an upcoming graduate of computer science from the University of Management and Technology, Lahore. He is leading IT team in Alif foundation.
Senator AlHaj Taj Muhammad Afridi
Alif foundation is independent, non-profit, non-political, non-sectarian and non-governmental organization primarily working on promoting basic education, Human Rights, to empower Women, and strengthening the public health system in Federally Tribal Administered Areas (FATA) of Pakistan.
